A man from the Spirit Lake Reservation of North Dakota was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for the attempted rape of a 10-year-old girl.
Joseph DeMarce, 25, was convicted in December of attempted sexual abuse. He attempted to rape the girl in an isolated location on the reservation on June 27, 2007.
Once DeMarce completes his prison term, a judge ordered him to be on supervised release for the rest of his life.
