The Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians of Wisconsin might sue the Interior Department over the Oneida land-into-trust application.

The Stockbridge-Munsee Band was based in New York before being removed to Wisconsin. The tribe has claimed land that is now owned by the Oneida Nation of New York.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs plans to take 13,000 acres of Oneida-owned land into trust. The Stockbridge-Munsee Band claims 3,000 of those acres.
