Tohono O'odham celebrate saguaro harvest
Regina Siquieros, a member of the Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona, marked the start of the tribe's annual saguaro harvest on Saturday.

Siquieros led the Ha:san Bak Saguaro Harvest Celebration at Colossal Cave Mountain Park. She said the ceremony is one of the tribe's most sacred activities.

About 30 people learned how to harvest the cactus. The harvest takes place once every year, usually from mid-June to the end of July.
