Members of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin returned Rick Hill to the chairman's post in an election on Saturday.
Hill, who served as chairman for three terms in the early 1990s, defeated six other candidates for the job. Turnout was the highest in the tribe's history, a spokesperson said.
Also elected were Kathy Hughes as vice chairwoman; Cristina "Tina" Danforth as treasurer and Patty Ninham-Hoeft as secretary. Five tribal council members were elected.
