Work continues on Oklahoma Indian cultural center
Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Work continues on the $150 million American Indian Cultural Center and Museum in Oklahoma.

The basement and exterior of the building in Oklahoma City will be finished by the end of the September. But since a $25 million bond won't be ready until October at the earliest, Gov. Brad Henry (D) said the state will seek interim financing to ensure construction keeps moving.

Once the exterior is finished, Henry said private donations will be sough to furnish the interior.
