Another homicide on troubled reserve in Alberta
The Samson Cree Nation in Alberta has seen its second homicide in less than a week.

A 21-year-old man was found dead on August 2, just six days after a 16-year-old boy was killed in a gang-related incident. The two homicides do not appear to be related, however.

The band created a gun amnesty program after a two-year-old girl was shot and critically injured in April. Two teens were charged in connection with the incident.

The April shooting was the 12th incident of gun violence on the reserve during a three-week period. Authorities say 13 gangs are fighting over the drug trade in the area.
