Red Lake veterans present colors at GOP convention

Veterans from the Red Lake Nation presented the colors at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.

The four members of the Red Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars carried flags and an eagle staff into the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. They were dressed in traditional clothing.

“We represent the United States of America, whether they are Democrats or Republicans,” Rocky Cook told The Grand Forks Herald. “We’re standing behind that flag because we carried it halfway around the world.”
