The U.S. Border Patrol has set up roadblocks near several reservations in northwestern Washington, the Associated Press reports.

The three checkpoints are far from the Canadian border. But they have resulted in a string of arrests that some tribal members say are unfair.

“I don’t think it’s fair to pick up the Hispanic people and deport them, I just think it’s wrong,” Tanya Ward, a member of the Hoh Tribe, told the AP. Ward organized a protest against the roadblocks and plans to hold another one later this month.

The checkpoints are near the Hoh, Makah, Lower Elwha, Quileute and Quinault reservations
