The Cayuga Nation of New York will give away gas to counter a protest by an anti-Indian group.
Customers can get $10 of free gas this Saturday at the LakeSide Trading gas station. The giveaway takes place while
Upstate Citizens for Equality runs a motorcade to urge the state to collect taxes on reservations.
"For a long time we've sat still and not said a word about the UCE. The time has come for our nation to try to put an end to this," Clint Halftown, the tribe's representative, told The Syracuse Post-Standard.
