Small businesses in Indian Country can apply for grants from the Montana Indian Equity Fund.
The fund was set up three years ago by the state Department of Commerce. It has supported 17 Indian businesses since then.
Applicants can receive up to $7,000 from the fund. A total of $119,000 has set been set aside for fiscal year 2009.
