Seminole Nation working on abuse victims' shelter
The Seminole Nation of Oklahoma plans to start construction on a domestic violence shelter.

The $500,000 shelter will be open to all abuse victims in Seminole County and to tribal members throughout the state. It will have individual rooms, a children’s room and a computer room.

The tribe has raised $305,000 towards the project, most of it coming from a federal grant.
