Convicted man wants to join Northern Arapaho suit
A member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming wants to join a lawsuit that seeks to determine the boundaries of the Wind River Reservation.

Andrew John Yellowbear Jr was convicted in state court of murdering his 22-month-old daughter in 2004. The crime occurred in Riverton, a city that the tribe says is part of the reservation.

Yellowbear says the state lacks jurisdiction to try him but the Wyoming Supreme Court rejected the claim earlier this year. A federal appeals court said he could revive the issue but the tribe says it will fight his attempts to join the new lawsuit.
