County debates Paskenta Band donation of $300K
Supervisors in Tehama County, California, accepted a $300,000 donation from the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians on Tuesday but not after some debate.

A resident accused the supervisors of taking the money for political reasons. But supervisors said their views weren't affected by the tribe's donation.

"This donation makes no difference in the way that I vote," said George Russell, The Contra Costa Times.

The tribe makes the donation every year as a way of paying for municipal services.
