Judge saves Mille Lacs man from banishment
A member of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe of Minnesota was saved from banishment by a tribal court judge.

Cortney Allen Nadeau, 23, was accused of committing a string of violent incidents, which is grounds for removal from tribal lands for five years. But the judge apparently didn't think he had to go.

Four other men are being banished. The tribe says they are to blame for crime and gang violence.
