Muscogee Nation to weigh changes to constitution
The Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma holds its first constitutional convention in at least 100 years this weekend.

The tribe is considering 122 proposed amendments to the constitution, which was adopted in 1979. Those that are approved at the convention will be put on a ballot for a special election.

"We're plowing new land right now," Patrick E. Moore, a tribal judge who worked on the constitutional convention committee, told The Tulsa World. "We've never done this before."
