Rosebud Sioux Tribe distributes 2,600 holiday turkeys
The Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is distributing 2,600 turkeys to all households on the reservation.

The cost for the annual program grew by about $10,000 due to the rising price of turkeys. But Melissa Poignee, the tribe's community services director, said it was worth the money.

The tribe already distributed 3,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving.
