Haskell regents to meet with BIA in Washington
Regents from Haskell Indian Nations University will meet with Bureau of Indian Affairs officials in Washington, D.C., next week.

The regents are concerned with President Linda Sue Warner, a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma who took over the tribal college in April 2007. They asked the BIA to remove her but she has denied any wrongdoing.

“I’m hoping that things can be a little more clear maybe after we have this meeting in Washington,” regents vice chairman George Tiger told The Lawrence Journal World.
