Larry EchoHawk expected to get BIA nomination
Larry EchoHawk still isn't commenting but it's widely believed he will be nominated by President Barack Obama to lead the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

EchoHawk is a member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma. He served as attorney general of Idaho from 1990-1994, as Idaho tribes were seeking to assert their gaming rights.

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and the Nez Perce Tribe support EchoHawk. Some tribal leaders admitted they had concerns due to the gaming issue but changed their mind after talking with the potential nominee.
