Prison urged for father over deaths of daughters
Prosecutors in Saskatchewan are seeking a prison sentence for a Native man who admitted he caused the deaths of his two young daughters.

Christopher Pauchay,25, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal negligence. He took his daughters, Kaydance and Santana, outside on a freezing night while they were wearing only t-shirts and diapers.

Pauchay, of the Yellow Quill First Nation, was intoxicated on the night in question. He faces a sentence between 2.5 years and five years, although a Native sentencing circle recommended a conditional sentence to be served at his home on the reserve.
