Senate confirmation hearing for Tompkins at Interior
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a confirmation hearing this Thursday for Hilary Tompkins as Solicitor of the Interior Department.

Tompkins is a member of the Navajo Nation. If confirmed, she would be the first Native woman to serve as the top legal official at Interior.

The hearing takes place at 2pm in Room 366 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. Tompkins is among five nominees who will be considered.
