The Havasupai Tribe of Arizona won't be reopening its reservation to tourists today as planned.
Concerns about the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu, prompted the delay. The village won't reopen until June 1, the tribe said.
The village was closed last year due to major flooding in the Grand Canyon. The tribe has been losing out on critical tourism revenue as a result.
Only a few cases of the virus have been reported in Arizona. The Indian Health Service is monitoring the situation and will be ready to respond if necessary.
