Donor wanted scholarship, but only for non-Natives
An alumnus of the University of Saskatchewan wanted to donate $500,000 to create a scholarship fund -- as long as the money didn't go to Native students.

But the school turned down the money. An administrator said the scholarship would violate human rights laws.

"It became evident that that was a criterion that the donor insisted on, and therefore, we had to decline the gift," Heather Magotiaux, the university's vice-president of advancement, told CBC News.
