Ross Swimmer keeping busy since leaving OST
Ross Swimmer, a former chief of the Cherokee Nation, has been keeping himself busy since leaving his job as the first American Indian to serve as Special Trustee for American Indians.

Swimmer'a last day of federal service was January. Since then, he's rejoined NAFA Capital Markets and NAFA Investment Advisors as a partner, started a consulting firm that is working for the Cherokee Nation and joined the board of directors at First National Bank and Trust Co., owned by the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.

“I’m convinced that there is no one in America who can match Mr. Swimmer’s relevant experience,” said CPN Chairman John ‘Rocky’ Barrett, The Shawnee News-Star reported.

Swimmer served as head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs during the Reagan administration.
