Two California tribes receive housing stimulus
The Hoopa Valley Tribe and the Yurok Tribe, both of California, will use funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to build housing for their members.

The tribes received a total of $1.17 million. The Hoopa Valley Tribe already signed a contract to begin work while the Yurok Tribe is expected to sign one within three or four weeks.

The money will provide homes for 13 tribal households.
