Native soldier buried on reserve in Saskatchewan
Darby Morin, a soldier from the Big River First Nation in Saskatchewan, was buried on Tuesday.

Morin, 25, served in the U.S. Army. He died in Afghanistan on August 22 when a vehicle he was traveling in rolled over.

"I am so overwhelmed with pride of this young man, and what he achieved," said Lawrence Joseph, chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations, CBC News reported. Morin's uncle, Lyle Whitefish, serves as FSIN vice chief.

Morin leaves behind a widow and two children.
