Senate considers Indian funding in Interior bill
The Senate is currently debating H.R.2996, the $32.1 billion fiscal year 2010 Interior appropriations bill,

The bill increases funding for the the Indian Health Service by 13 percent. "There's always room for improvement, and with that kind of money, I think we can improve greatly," Brandon Sazue, the chairman of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, told The Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

The bill also increases funding for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. More money is being added to improve law enforcement in Indian Country.
