The city of North Bend,
Oregon, is asking a judge to force the Coquille Tribe to make a payment for municipal services.
The city says the tribe missed a first quarterly $115,000 payment for police, fire and sewer services. A second quarterly payment of $115,000 won't be paid either, according to a lawsuit in state court that accuses the tribe of breach of contract.
Unless the tribe immediately pays $140,993, the city will halt all services, according to a motion filed as part of the lawsuit.
