Sho-Bans deny church group's housing permit
A Mormon sect plans to stay on the Fort Hall Reservation in Idaho even though its housing permit was rejected by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

The Church of the Firstborn moved into a home the reservation in June and sought a permit for a 18,000 square-foot compound. Neighbors objected to the project at a public hearing held by the tribe.

The group will leave the property in question but a leader said the church will try to find another home on the reservation.
