Gila River Tribe tries to woo Chicago Cubs
The Gila River Indian Community of Arizona hopes to lure the Chicago Cubs to the reservation for the team's spring training session, The East Valley Tribune reported.

The team currently uses a facility in nearby Mesa. Officials there aren't particularly happy that the tribe is trying to get in the game.

"They have not indicated a willingness to sit down," Mayor Scott Smith told the paper said of overtures the city made to the tribe to discuss the idea.

The paper said tribal leaders went to Chicago to meet with team management.
