Nevada's US Attorney targets reservation crime
Daniel Bogden, the U.S. Attorney for Nevada, hopes to work more closely with tribes and secure funding to boost law enforcement on reservations in the state.

Nevada is home to 27 tribes and 31 reservations. Bogden says not enough is being done to prevent and prosecute crimes in Indian Country.

"It’s going to be a top Justice Department priority," Bogden told The Las Vegas Sun.

The Department of Justice has held listening sessions to discuss Indian crime issues. Attorney General Eric Holder and top officials will participate in a listening conference October 28-29 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
