Luana K. Ross will take over as president of Salish Kootenai College on the Flathead Reservation in Montana on July 1.
Ross is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. She comes to SKC from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she is a professor in Indian studies.
Ross replaces Joe McDonald, the college's president for the past 33 years.
