House due to consider three Indian water rights bills
The House is due to consider three Indian water rights bills today.

The bills are:
H.R.1065, the White Mountain Apache Tribe Water Rights Quantification Act, affecting the White Mountain Apache Tribe of Arizona.
H.R.3254, the Taos Pueblo Indian Water Rights Settlement Act, affecting Taos Pueblo of New Mexico.
H.R.3342, the Aamodt Litigation Settlement Act, affecting Nambe Pueblo, Pojoaque Pueblo, Tesuque Pueblo and San Ildefonso Pueblo

The bills were approved by the House Natural Resources Committee on September 30. At the time, Republicans raised concerns about the costs of the settlements and whether the Department of Justice had input.

The bills are the first on the agenda today, according to the House Democratic Majority Leader.
