National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on March 20
National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day will be observed March 20 for the fourth year.

Ti-chee, a non-profit, is organizing a series of events on the Lummi Nation in Washington. Organizer Hamen Ides wants more American Indians and Alaska Natives to get tested for HIV.

"We're trying to break those barriers down because it needs to be addressed," Ides, the executive director of Ti-chee, told The Bellingham Herald.

Ides is raising money for the events.
