Quileute Tribe mourns loss of carver and weaver
The Quileute Tribe of Washington is mourning the loss of two important elders.

Terry Jones, 54, was a carver and fisherman who was well liked on the reservation. He died in a fire at his trailer on Wednesday night. Authorities do not believe the fire was suspicious.

Charlotte Kalama, 86, also died on Wednesday of natural causes. She was an acclaimed basketweaver whose grandfather was a tribal chief and whose mother helped preserve the Quileute language.
