Tribal member named to University of Wisconsin board
Attorney Ed Manydeeds, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, has been nominated to serve on the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents.

If confirmed by the state Senate, Manydeeds will be the first Native American on the board. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin.

In the annual State of the Tribes Address, St. Croix Chippewa Tribe Chairman Lewis Taylor requested a Native person be named to the board.
