San Ildefonso Pueblo to use grant to expand cell phone service
San Ildefonso Pueblo in New Mexico will use a $1.2 million stimulus grant to expand cell phone service.

The San Ildefonso Pueblo Enterprise Corporation will install four cell towers on the reservation and purchase networking equipment. Service will be available to people on three reservations and three non-tribal communities.

The tribe's Tewa Communication says the money will establish the tribe as a viable wireless network provider.
