Squaxin Island Tribe expects to debut golf course in 2011
The Squaxin Island Tribe of Washington plans to open an 18-hole golf course in spring of 2011.

The tribe owns the public Salish Cliffs Golf Club. The facility is near the Little Creek Casino Resort.

The recession has taken a big hit on golf construction, The Seattle Times reported. The tribe's course is the only major new development in the state.
