Two members of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan have been indicted in federal court for separate assault incidents on the reservation.
Edison Troy Pelcher, 36, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do great bodily harm. He is alleged to have attacked a sleeping woman with a bottle.
Gizhep Gimiwon Pego, 20, is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do great bodily harm. He is alleged to have knocked his victim to the ground, repeatedly kicking him in the head.
The cases are being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.
