FEMA finds at least $6M in damage on Rocky Boy's Reservation
The Rocky Boy's Reservation in Montana suffered at least $6 million in damage from recent flooding, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said in a preliminary assessment.

The Chippewa Cree Tribe is eligible for at least $2.3 million in federal assistance. The rest of the aid would presumably go to state and local governments or individual citizens.

Federal funds will depend on a presidential declaration. Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D) said he will ask the Obama administration for one.

The $6 million figure is likely to go up, a state official said.
