Notice: BIA agrees to place 40 acres in trust for Fond du Lac Band
The Bureau of Indian Affairs will take 40 acres in trust for the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Minnesota, according to a notice published in The Cloquet Pine Journal.

The land is located in St. Louis County. Officials there recently dropped their long-standing opposition to the tribe's land-into-trust efforts.

The BIA says the land will be taken into trust after 30 days. The notice does not appear to have been published in the Federal Register.
