Penobscot Nation chief and vice chief win reelection campaign
The top two leaders of the Penobscot Nation of Maine won their bids for re-election.

Chief Kirk Francis defeated former chief Barry Dana by a vote of 372 to 154. "I knew we had a lot of support, but you can’t always be on the right side of every decision for everyone,” Francis told The Bangor Daily News. “I really feel blessed and very grateful.”

Vice Chief William Thompson also won re-election. Both will serve four-year terms.
