White Mountain Apache Tribe cites economy for resort cutbacks
The White Mountain Apache Tribe of Arizona says a poor economy is to blame for cutbacks at its ski resort.

The tribe will only open one mountain at the Sunrise Park Resort. Season passes have been canceled, along with other promotions.

“The White Mountain Apache Tribe, along with Sunrise management are being proactive in decision making and are facing difficult choices,” said general manager Marilyn Lovato, The White Mountain Independent reported.
