Blog: Native Punx holds first annual film festival in Milwaukee
"A screening of and debate over Disney's "Pocahontas" marks the start of a Native American Film Fest today through Sunday on the Marquette University campus.

The screening will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, Room 111.

It is sponsored by Native Punx a newly formed Native Amerrican arts organization. Admission is free.

The group describes "Pocahontas" as the "Avatar of 1995," and the discussion will focus on its influence in shaping impressions of Native Americans."
