A North Dakota man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for embezzling from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
Ladarana Mees, 55, pleaded guilty to one count of theft. He embezzled between $1.4 million and $1.7 million from the Standing Rock Housing Authority
Mees was the finance officer for the housing authority.
