Ponca Tribe in Nebraska hosts vigil for victims of domestic abuse
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska held a vigil last night to raise awareness and help victims of domestic abuse.

Tawna Luschen, the tribe's domestic violence outreach advocate, said the problem affects entire families. "It not only affects them emotionally, physically, but it also affects the children and the kids that grow up in the families," Luschen told KTIV-TV.

Studies show that American Indian and Alaska Natives women are more likely to be victimized than any other racial or ethnic group.
