Obama hosts second Tribal Nations Conference on December 16
President Barack Obama will host the second White House Tribal Nations Conference on December 16.

As part of his campaign, Obama promised to hold yearly meetings with tribes. His first summit took place November 5, 2009, and he ordered all federal agencies to come up with detailed consultation plans.

All 565 federally recognized tribes are invited to send one representative to the conference. Details are forthcoming.
