Bad River Band sends officers to school after Facebook threats
The chairman and two police officers from the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians visited a public school on Thursday after violent threats were made on Facebook.

The threats reportedly began in response to a female student dating an Indian male at Ashland High School. There have been two fights this week and Facebook comments about a "race war." One student apparently commented about bringing a gun to school.

The tribe's officers and local police officers went to campus to assure student safety.
