Saginaw Chippewa Tribe set to break ground on water park, hotel

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan plans to break ground on a water park and hotel this spring.

Work will take about 15 to 18 months, Central Michigan Life reported. The Soaring Eagle Inn and Water Park is expected to open in the summer of 2012.

The facility will include a swimming area, a water slide, an activity pool, a lazy river and a kids area. The hotel will include 224 rooms, a restaurant, a lounge, a fitness room and a conference room.
