Diver from Skokomish Tribe died during harvesting expedition

Patrick J. LaClair, a member of the Skokomish Tribe of Washington, died during a geoduck harvesting expedition on Friday. He was 54.

LaClair was a respected tribal member. "This is a great loss to the community," Joseph Pavel, the tribe's natural resources director, told The Kitsap Sun. "Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the family."

Funeral services take place tomorrow.
