The Learning Channel will air Off The Rez, a documentary about Shoni Schimmel, a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, on May 14. The film follows Schimmel during her standout season at an off-reservation high school in Oregon. Schimmel now plays for the University of Louisville The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City last night. Schimmel participated in a panel discussion afterwards. Get the Story:
